Four of a family killed as trailer hits bike.

BAHAWALPUR -- Four members of a family were killed in a road accident near Dhoorekote in the limits of Uch Sharif police station, about 70km from here, on Thursday night.

According to police, Manzoor Ahmed, of Abbasia mohallah in Ahmedpur East, along with his daughters Robina and Sobia and infant Mohsin was going to Gailiwala on a motorcycle. Near Bangalow in the limits of East Jhangra, a speeding trailer hit their motorcycle.

Manzoor and his two daughters died on the spot, while Mohsin was rushed to Jalalpur Peerwala Hospital where he died.

The bodies were shifted to the Ahmedpur East THQ Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The trailer driver managed to flee from the scene while Dhoorekote police arrested him.

Meanwhile, two passengers suffered serious injuries when a bus going to Bahawalnagar from Karachi overturned near Khairpur Tamewali, about 45km from here, on Friday.

The injured were admitted to Khairpur Tamewali THQ Hospital.
