Four of family among many perish in road accidents.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- Four members of a family were killed in an accident on the fog-bound motorway on Saturday night.

Rescue 1122 reported that six members of a family of Khairpur (Sindh) were on their way home from Islamabad by their car when the driver failed to see a trailer and their vehicle hit it between the interchanges of Gojra and Toba Tek Singh on M-4. All the car occupants were injured and, officials said, four of them had expired before a rescue team reached there.

They were identified as Saima Perveen , 35, wife of Muhammad Zubair, their son Huzaifa, 9, and daughters Hafza Bibi, 5, and Mishra, 13. Zubair, 39, and his son Hamza, 7, were taken to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital in a critical condition and doctors referred them to Faisalabad's Allied Hospital.

In another incident, union council secretary Muhammad Ahmad, a resident of Chak 670/11 GB, was on his way to village from Pirmahal when his motorcycle collided with a motorcycle-rickshaw. He was injured and admitted to Pirmahal Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
