Four killed in separate accidents.

CHAKWAL -- Four people, including a brother and sister, were shot dead in three separate incidents, police said on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred in Kallar Kahar near the lake when Raja Shumail, 15, and his sister, Muniza Maryam, 19, were ambushed by an unknown armed man who opened fire on them, killing them on the spot.

According to police, Raja Shumail was a student of 9th grade and was waiting for his exam which was to commence in March. His sister, Muniza, was a student of BA final year.

'Raja Shumail was going to drop his sister at her college on a motorbike. They had hardly travelled 100 metres from their home when an unknown assailant shot at them,' a police official told Dawn.

He added that the father of the deceased did not name anyone in the FIR as he did not have any enmity. 'According to initial investigation it seems that the assailant wanted to kill one of the siblings, most probably the brother as he had received two bullets while the girl was killed either accidentally or because she made hue and cry,' the official added.
