Four injured in Haripur exchange of fire.

HARIPUR -- Four people, including three women, suffered injuries when two groups of a family exchanged fire in a remote village of Beer union council here on Thursday.

The police said Shaheen Bibi had shifted to her parents' house after developing differences with husband Sabir Sultan.

They said Sabir went to his in-laws on Friday for asking them to send his wife home but the latter refused leading to a scuffle and exchange of fire.

The police said the gunfire left Sabir, his sister Ruqaya Bibi, mother-in-law Latifan Bibi, brother-in-law Ali Asghar and relative Zakia Bibi injured.

The police arrested Sabir and Ali Asghar and shifted the injured to the local trauma centre.

Meanwhile, commissioner of Hazara division Syed Zaheerul Islam on Thursday inaugurated a langar khana (soup kitchen) and a shelter home for homeless people and travellers.

He said the government had taken the initiative in line with the vision of Premier Imran Khan.
