Four FDE officials booked for 'instigating' employees to hold protest.

ISLAMABAD -- Four officials of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) were booked by the capital police on the charge of interfering in government affairs by instigating officials to a protest against the authorities of the directorate.

The Karachi Company police registered the case in response to a complaint lodged by FDE Director Administration Saqib Shahab against the four employees under section 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 147 (punishment for rioting) and 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The booked officials are an assistant private secretary at Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB), H-9, an assistant at the FDE headquarters, an upper division clerk (UDC) at the IMSB G-7/4 and a lower division clerk (LDC) at IMCG F-6/2.

According to the FIR, the officials had been interfering in government affairs by instigating the FDE employees for an agitation and protest against a lawful order, forcibly making them lock their respective offices and abandon their official work.

According to the FIR, on February 28 the assistant private secretary posted to the Islamabad Model College for Boys, H-9, came to the FDE headquarters at 9:15am and started visiting all sections from the basement to the fourth floor, instigating the employees to protest against the FDE director general.
