Four BISP cash points sealed in Upper Dir.

UPPER DIR -- Four cash points of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) were sealed in Dir city after their owners were found guilty of taking money from the beneficiaries of the scheme.

The additional assistant commissioner, Ijaz Akhtar, along with BISP assistant director Sajjad Ahmad visited the cash points where they were told by some of the beneficiaries the staff took money from them. On their complaints, the officials sealed four cash points.

Ijaz Akhtar said that officials of district administration were visiting the cash points on regular basis. He said that they asked the beneficiaries to approach them directly if amount was taken from them by the cash point owners.

Sajjad Ahmad said that during their visit two cash points were sealed in Kakakhel Plaza while one each in Ali Market and the main bazaar.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held here with Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal Khattak in the chair to review steps for prevention of possible dengue fever outbreak.
