Former Karak MNA to join JUI-F.

KARAK -- Former MNA and central deputy general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz has decided to join Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl after Eidul Fitr, according to sources.

However, they said that Maulana Mirzaqeem group of the party in the district was unhappy with the decision. They said that with joining of Shah Abdul Aziz, the number candidates for National Assembly ticket would be increased as another former MNA Shamsur Rehman Khattak had already joined JUI-F.

Sources said that Shamsur Rehman Khattak wanted to announce joining of JUI-F at a big pubic meeting but the spread of Covid-19 restricted him from doing so.

They said that there would be a race for the National Assembly ticket in the party among Maulana Mirzaqeem, Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz and Shamsur Rehman Khattak.

The insiders said that Maulana Mirzaqeem group was not happy with the decision of Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz to join JUI-F as it would endanger the nomination of its leader for the party ticket.
