Fog increased load of passengers on railways: Sh Rasheed.
RAWALPINDI -- Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has stated that fog on the roads has increased the load of passengers on railways.
In his statement, the railways minister said that Christmas Special Train would now run till the second week of next month. 'We have decided to continue running the Christmas special train till January 10,' he said.
Sheikh Rasheed further stated that he has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to give one scale to railways employee from grade 1 to 16.
'After court's verdict, all Temporary Labour (TLA) employees working in railways would be confirmed as permanent employees,' he said.
He said that despite dense fog, around 138 trains are functional on daily basis to facilitate passengers.
