Fog, drizzle keep temperatures low.

LAHORE -- Fog, cloud cover and drizzle in some cities on Friday kept day's maximum temperature low and closer to Thursday night's minimum temperature in the plains of Punjab, further intensifying winter.

The cloudiness was caused by a westerly wave over upper parts of the country. It is likely to persist during the next 12 hours.

Lahore's maximum temperature at the airport was 12.2 degrees Celsius as against its Thursday night's minimum 5 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in almost Punjab cities was recorded 15 or below.
