Floor mill sealed for hoarding wheat.

GUJRAT -- The local authorities on Monday sealed a flour mill for hoarding a huge quantity of wheat in official gunny bags and issued a warning to another flour mill for not maintaining the record.

A team, comprising senior officers of district administration and food department, led by Gujrat Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Dr Rani Hafsa Kanwal, raided the Zikriya Flour Mills on a tip-off that it had stored a huge chunk of wheat illegally.

On reaching the site, the officials found that apart from illegally storing wheat, the mill management was also getting the said wheat packed in the gunny bags the government had issued to the farmers.

The team confiscated 1,000 wheat bags and sealed the mills.

Later on, the team checked the Burhan Flour Mills and issued a stern warning to the management for not properly updating its record.
