Five-star Rehman gives Pakistan huge win over Thailand.

LAHORE -- A superb five-goal performance by Abdul Rehman inspired Pakistan to a facile 9-0 victory against Thailand in their pool match of the Junior Asia Cup hockey tournament in Salalah, Oman late on Wednesday.

This was Pakistan's second successive victory in the event. On Tuesday, they comfortably won their first pool match against Chinese Taipei 15-1.

Abdul Shahid opened scoring for the green-shirts in the dying minute of the first quarter.

Rehman, who was later adjudged player of the match, scored his first and team's second goal in the 19th minute while Abdul Wahab pumped in a field goal to make it 3-0 by the end of the second quarter.

Rehman found the net again in the 41st minute to put his team 4-0 ahead.
