Finance Minister (FM) Nirmala Sitharaman is chairing her first GST Council meeting which has begun to take crucial decisions on myriad proposals. Sitharaman replaced Arun Jaitley as new FM under the Modi 2.0 government as he decided to opt out on health grounds.
