First differently-abled person inducted as trainee in PTA.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has successfully inducted its first graduate trainee through the Disability Inclusion Management Trainee Programme in partnership with Telenor Pakistan.

The PTA signed a cooperation agreement with Telenor Pakistan in January 2022, under which the regulator agreed to receive one female differently-abled person, supported, trained and placed by Telenor.

The PTA, under its digital gender inclusion initiative, introduced the programme to promote diversity and inclusion in the workforce. The Disability Inclusion Management Trainee Programme is designed to provide opportunities for female graduates with disabilities to gain valuable regulatory work experience and develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
