Financial assistance demanded for families of slain LHWs.

SWABI -- Leaders of various political parties here on Friday demanded adequate financial assistance for families of the two lady health workers (LHWs) who were killed on Wednesday during duty here in Purmuli village of Razaar tehsil.

PTI MPA Zeneet Bibi advocate visited the houses of the two LHWs to offer her condolences to the affected families.

'We held a meeting with the chief minister in Peshawar the other day and discussed with him the provision of assistance. He has assured us that the government would take all possible steps in this regard,' she said.

MNA Usman Khan Tarakai said that it was the responsibility of the government to help the victim families.

Former PML-N MPA Shiraz Khan said that investigations into the incident should be completed as soon as possible. He said that timely support to the bereaved families would encourage other vaccinators to continue their work with dedication.

PTI district president Anwar Haqdad said that the government was planning to help the affected families.
