Faizan, Shaeel reach Rafum Punjab Jr Tennis U-18 final.

LAHORE -- aizan Fayyaz and Shaeel Durab breezed into final of the Rafum Punjab Junior Tennis Championship after defeating their respective opponents in the U-18 semifinals here at the Punjab Tennis Academy on Thursday.

In the U-18 first semifinal, Faizan Fayyaz was up against Hamza Jawad. Faizan played powerful and down the line shots to put his opponent under pressure and won the first set 6-1. He maintained his supremacy in the second set and won it 6-2 to book final berth against Shaeel Durab, who defeated Bilal Asim in the second semifinal with a margin of 6-4, 6-2.

In the U-16 quarterfinals, Bilal Asim played well against Moavia Butt and outclassed him by 8-1. Ahtesham Humyum overpowered Haroon Arshad by 8-1 while Shaeel Durab faced tough resistance from Hamza Jawad before winning the match 8-4 and Hassan Ali beat Aized Khalil by 8-1. The U-14 quarterfinals saw Shehryar Anees thrashing Haroon Arshad 8-0, Ahtesham Humayun beating Hamza Ali Rizwan 8-5, Amna Ali Qayyum outpacing Ismail Ahmad 8-5 and Ismail Aftab toppling Labika Durab 8-5.
