Equipment purchased for removal of encroachments.

RAWALPINDI -- Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) will use technology to remove encroachments from city areas and in this regard, it has purchased a drone camera along with a heavy digging machine.

Commissioner retired Capt Mohammad Mehmood inaugurated the equipment, which will be utilised in carrying out the operations.

RMC Chief Municipal Officer Ali Abbas Bukhari and other officials were also present on the occasion; the commissioner drove the heavy digging machine and inspected the drone camera. He also reviewed performance of various schemes of the civic body.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mehmood said RMC has shown significant improvement in the performance of schemes under the Punjab Municipal Services Programme for which 84pc of the allocated funds have been utilised.
