Engineers Play Key Role In Economic Growth: Governor.

LAHORE -- Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman on Thursday said that engineers play key role in economic growth and development of the country and significantly contribute to improving lives of the people. He was talking to Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Commerce and Investment, Almas Hyder, who called on him here at the Governor's House.

The governor said there was an important link between Pakistan's engineering capacity and its economic development. He said that industrial engineering had also provided a systematic approach to streamlining and improving productivity and efficiency.

Baligh said that engineering disciplines integrate scientific principles with real life-oriented research, providing systems and process that create ways of acquiring new knowledge.
