Eid Milad-un-Nabi observed with religious zeal in Karachi.

KARACHI: Eid Milad-un- Nabi (SAW) was observed with religious zeal and fervor in Karachi like other parts of the country on Friday 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal amid stringent security arrangements.

Thousands of faithful participated in Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) processions and congregations in the metropolis. The main procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) was taken out from Memon Masjid that after marching on the traditional route concluded at Nishtar Park.

The Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister, Justice (r) Maqbool Baqar, along with Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, participated in the main procession to review the security and other arrangements.

The CM, while speaking to media at the occasion, said that Rabiul Awal was a great day and was celebrated with religious fervor and spirit. He added that the security arrangements for the Rabiul Awal Jaloos have been beefed up.

Justice Baqar urged the people to offer prayers for the security and development of Pakistan on this day.

Dozens of processions joined the main procession on its route while devotees has arranged camps on the route of processions and other places to provide the devotees with cold water, sharbat and other edible items.

Leading religious scholars highlighted the Holy Prophet's life in different congregations and said "The life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a torch bearer for all of us and success in both worlds can be achieved only by following the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)."
