Education termed must for women's empowerment.

MARDAN -- Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf provincial lawmaker Sajida Haneef said here on Thursday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was giving special attention to promotion of women's education.

She was addressing as chief guest at a programme related to 'Youth Engagement Services' held in the Women's University, Mardan, with the collaboration of British Council.

Vice-chancellor of the university Prof Ghazala Yasmeen, CEO Raza Mohammad and a large number of students attended the function.

The lawmaker said in her speech that the government had allocated huge funds for women's education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She said that education was very important for women's empowerment to play their due role in development of the country.

Prof Ghazala Yasmeen, Raza Mohammad and director Hina Jabeen also expressed their views on the occasion.
