Education system addressing social ills need of hour.

LAHORE -- One of the most pressing demands of the hour, according to the delegates of a conference, is an education system that can combat poverty, inflation, unemployment, terrorism, political unrest and economic instability while also meeting current industry standards.

The international conference on education research began its three-day run on Tuesday at the Punjab University (PU) Institute of Education and Research.

According to former PU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Zaffar Moeen Nasar, educationists should develop fresh concepts in light of changing demands.

According to Kohsar University VC Prof Dr Habib Ali Bukhari, society cannot advance without fostering a culture of learning and research.

He said that cooperation is required to address issues including the growing population, climate change, COVID-19, and floods.
