Education project demanded to end child labour.

MINGORA -- Social and education activists on Friday called for the start of an education project across Swat region for the children of poor families to end child labour.

During a function held at the Khpal Kor Foundation orphanage to distribute cheques of financial assistance to such children, the speakers said the government and NGOs should follow the initiative of the foundation to provide free education to girls, who were earlier involved in child labour.

The speakers said the children of the marginalised families were not only provided with free education up to 10th grade but monthly stipend, school uniform, shoes, books and transport facility were also offered to them.
