This year Turkmenistan is celebrating its 31st Anniversary of the glorious Independence Day_ This day commemorates the wishes and aspirations of the Turkmen people to live with pride and honor to make their country the greatest nation in the world. Since its independence in 1991. Turkmenistan has witnessed an upward trajectory for its outstanding contribution towards peace, development, and progress in diverse fields_ Based on peace at home, Turkmenistan chose to adopt a unique and vital policy of permanent neutrality that has helped it to play a constructive and positive role in the region and across the globe. This policy of permanent neutrality has supported Turkmenistan's desire to alleviate itself to the highest accolades of regional and global peace initiatives. The founding father of modern and progressive Turkmenistan and the torch bearer of the future of Turkmenistan. esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov_ during his Presidency, steered the nation to the greatest of glory through his approach to peace with everyone and conflict with none.

Now with the new President Serdar Berdirouhainedov, the vision of progress, economic development, and peace is growing with leaps and bounds.

Pakistan and Turkmenistan have a time-tested friendship spanning over thirty years. Both countries continued building cooperation through strong bonding of political, diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people ties. Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Pakistan has supported Turkmenistan. its independence. sovereignty, and the status of Permanent Neutrality_ Pakistan and Turkmenistan are members of important regional and international forums, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and the Non-Aligned Movement. Over the course of three decades_ there were a number of high-level visits from both sides, including visits of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and senior officials. With the sharing of similar insights on global and regional issues, Pakistan and Turkmenistan continuously supported each other in building international peace through dialogue and diplomacy. Pakistan stood by Turkmenistan on its important foreign policy stance of permanent neutrality.
