Focusing on youth, spring, and togetherness, the opening ceremony of the much-awaited Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 made a significant statement at the beautiful, purposefully built Bird's Nest Stadium at the heart of the Chinese capital. Beginning on the fourth day of the Chinese Lunar year of Tiger, the motto of the Olympics is faster, higher, and stronger together. China has taken a giant leap forward from Beijing's "One World, One Dream" Olympics to "Together for A Shared Future" in 2022. The incredible opening ceremony reflects the delight of all to see friends coming from afar. The games opened new avenues for the world to forge strength and togetherness for a sustainable future together. The opening ceremony reflected many essential commitments made by China to the world, especially to make ecological conservation, green and innovation for the Olympics games offering better solutions to people's lives with these sports events. From AI snowflakes to the great use of technology, dazzling spectacle light show, fireworks, and dancing made the venue warm in the freezing temperatures in Beijing. Beijing became the first city to host the summer and winter Olympics ever. Athletes from 84 countries and world leaders from 32 countries, along with the representatives of the international organizations, gave the opening ceremony global diplomatic flair.

President Xi Jinping inaugurated the ceremony. A day earlier, while speaking at the 139th International Olympic Committees session, President Xi Jinping's video address highlighted the significance and essence of these Olympics. As the world is changing and transforming significantly after this once-in-century pandemic, China has led a path-breaking movement with support from IOC and made these Olympics memorable. Visiting athletes and spectators not only enjoyed the season but also encouraged worldwide dialogue and connection among people and cultures. As the United Nations Secretary-General stated, the world requires a spectacular Winter Olympics to serve the message that people, regardless of national, ethnic, or religion, can keep their differences with each other aside to work together and accomplish extraordinary outcomes. China proved it right through the winter Olympics which underlined the shared values of peace, prosperity, justice, fairness, and freedom, which are necessary for building a society with a shared destiny for humanity.
