ECP asks Vawda to submit attested documents in his disqualification case.

ISLAMABAD -- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday served notice to Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda in his disqualification case.

The hearing was conducted by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr. Sultan Sikandar Raja.

The ECP by clubbing the four pleas against Faisal Vawda asked his lawyer to submit attested documents related to the case. 'Submit attested copies of the documents, we will review them.'

The Election Commission of Pakistan rejected the request of the petitioners seeking suspension of Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda's membership till the conclusion of final arguments in disqualification case.

Member ECP Punjab Altaf Ibrahim Quresahi said that there is no such precedent present regarding the suspension of membership of any parliament member, adding that commission will also hear Faisal Vawda.
