Economy on verge of collapse: PML-N.

MANSEHRA -- PML-N central senior vice-president Sardar Mohammad Yusuf on Monday said the country's economy was on the verge of collapse but the prime minister and his ministers were misleading the people by blaming it on the coronavirus outbreak.

Mr Yusuf told reporters in Kaghan area after inaugurating a hotel that the ruling PTI had miserably failed to address inflation and socioeconomic issues.

'The sugar price has jumped to Rs90 per kg, while petroleum products are not available at filling stations across the province, especially Hazara division, due to the incapability of rulers,' Mr Yusuf told reporters in Kaghan area after inaugurating a hotel on Monday.

Mr Yusuf, who is also the parliamentary leader of his party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, said wrong policies of the government had led to petrol shortages to the misery of the people.

He said the 2020-21 budget, which was being promoted as tax-free and balanced during the Covid-19 emergency, had exposed the rulers' inability to manage the country's affairs.

'For the first time in history, the government employees haven't got pay raise,' he said regretting relief for the people hit by the pandemic.
