Economists hails PM Imran Khan's announcement of development package for Karachi.

ISLAMABAD -- Economists on Sunday hailed for Prime Minister Imran Khan's announcement regarding Rs 162 billion development package for Karachi citizens.

While speaking in a Radio current Affair's program they appreciated the seriousness of the Prime minister that he announced package for Karachi, adding, development of this port city would have better impact on the entire country and its economic activities as well.

A senior Economist Dr. Abid Qayyum Sulehri, said it was good gesture of federal government that it was contributing to for the development of infrastructure in Karachi.

He said the incumbent government was taking concrete steps for the development of Karachi and also raising awareness among the people to save water.

Karachi also requires mass transport system, he said adding, availability of pure drinking water was also a main issue of Karachi.
