Drive launched to tarnish my image, says Ali Zafar.

LAHORE -- Singer Ali Zafar on Saturday reached the district and sessions court to attend proceedings of his defamation suit against Meesha Shafi, who accused him of sexual harassment last year.

Although Zafar was not required to appear in person before the court, he along with his legal team attended the hearing and briefly observed cross-examination of his witnesses.

AD and SJ Shakeel Ahmad adjourned further hearing till May 4 and summoned more witnesses from the plaintiff side.

Talking to the media, Zafar said he had come to the court, even though he was not summoned, to prove that truth feared none. Referring to Ms Shafi, he said liars did not come to the court despite being summoned. He alleged that a planned vilification campaign had been launched against him on social media through fake accounts.
