DRCs play key role in speedy, fair solution of social problems: RPO.

PESHAWAR -- Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand Sajjad Khan has lauded the significant role of Dispute Resolution Councils (DRCs), in sustainable solution of issues, faced by masses and added that the mentioned forums playing a key role in speedy and fair solution of social problems in local level of society without any cost of financial benefit.

He said that the DRC forum was providing services according to the basic teaching of Islam and directions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for maintaining peace and reconciliation among people. He said that DRCs were the best system for sustainable solution of social problems outside the courts which were yielding the best results and through this the burden of cases on the courts can be reduced.

He was chairing the meeting of DRC Swat here at Regional Police Office Saidu Sharif Swat on Tuesday. Chairman and members of all local DRCs belonging to Swat attend the meeting.

The RPO Reviewed overall performance of all DRCs in terms of public services delivery through their decisions and agreed with the form to include some proposals to make the council more effective for speedy provision of services in resolving social problems. The RPO also learned about various problems faced by DRCs and assured them of their solution.
