Drap reply sought over high prices of Covid drugs.

LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from the Drug Regulatory Authority Pakistan (Drap) on a petition challenging the sale of surgical masks, temperature guns, plasma and lifesaving drugs at exorbitant prices during the coronavirus pandemic.

Judicial Activism Panel's Chairman Advocate Azhar Siddique filed the petition pleading that coronavirus had been spreading rapidly in the country but the prices of masks and other necessary items had skyrocketed.

He said the price of a packet of Chloroquine tablet had jumped to Rs3,000 while that of lifesaving injection Acterma up to one million rupees.
