Doctor in Rawalpindi booked on charge of trying to rape patient.

RAWALPINDI -- Police have registered a case against a doctor for allegedly making an attempt to rape a teenage girl at his private clinic in Ratta Amral.

The 17-year-old lodged an FIR with the police on Sunday stating that she went to the clinic located near her house at Hazara Colony as she was feeling unwell on Wednesday.

She alleged that the doctor gave her medicine that left her semiconscious and then tried to rape her.

She said after she started shouting, the doctor escaped from the clinic.

Police said an FIR has been registered and raids were underway to arrest the suspect.

9,138 driving licences issued

City Traffic Police issued 9,138 driving licences in June through its one-window operation.

The police said two separate counters have been established for women and transgender applicants.
