Director of education colleges: Body to interview candidates.

LAHORE -- The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) on Saturday made a five-member selection committee to interview candidates for the post of director of education colleges (DEC) of nine divisions of the province.

The committee is led by the Punjab minister for higher education, with the HED secretary, chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission, additional secretary of colleges and director of the public instruction of colleges members.

The department advertised the DEC post in all nine divisions - Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujaranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, for which associate professors (BS-19) can apply till Jan 24. An aptitude test of the applicants will be held on Feb 2.

A selection procedure document available with Dawn states the committee either itself or through a technical sub-committee will scrutinize applications and a list of 27 shortlisted candidates (three for each division) will be published on the departmental website on Feb 14.
