Dir admin orders strict enforcement of smart lockdown.

LOWER DIR -- Taking notice of SOP violations in villages and mohallas quarantined for a period of 14 days, deputy commissioner Saadat Hassan on Friday directed the assistant commissioners and additional assistant commissioners to ensure strict implementation of the smart lockdown in the localities.

He said his administration was bound to arrest the fast spread of Covid-19 in the district.

After the directives, additional assistant commissioner, Samarbagh, Younus Khan visited the quarantined Mian Kallay and Dok Gosum areas and held meetings with the elders. He persuaded them to observe the SOPs in letter and spirit. He also asked them to cooperate with the police and the administration in that regard. The official also inspected various shops, filling stations, public transport vehicles for the SOPs, and booked four violators.Meanwhile, the administration also sealed a shop and fined owners of two shops at Samarbagh for not following the SOPs.

Additional assistant commissioner, Adenzai, Sher Rehman also paid a surprise visit to the markets and sealed three stores, including a hotel, for not following SOPs. He asked the shopkeepers and customers to strictly follow the restrictions to help contain spread ofcoronavirus.
