Death toll from virus reaches 1,063 in KP.

PESHAWAR -- Death toll from Covid-19 reached 1,063 as nine more passed away due to the infection in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.

The province also recorded 354 new confirmed cases, taking the total to 29,406.

Of the dead, three belonged to Kohat, two Peshawar, and one each Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Haripur, according to a report released by the health department.

It said that 712 patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 19,503.

The number of people dying of Covid-19 reached 503 in Peshawar, which also recorded 133 new patients, taking its overall count of infected people to 10,436.
