Deadline for payment of vehicle token tax extended.

ISLAMABAD -- The Excise and Taxation Department of the federal capital has extended the deadline for payment of token tax by one month as majority of owners of vehicles have failed to pay the tax so far.

According to an office order issued by the Excise and Taxation Department, Islamabad, the last date for payment of road tax/token tax without penalty has been extended to November 30, 2019, in order to facilities the vehicle owners.

Director Excise Bilal Azam said that earlier the department had set the deadline of October 31for payment of the token tax. He said that owners of 750,000 to 800,000 vehicles were yet to pay the tax.
