DC directs ACs to launch crackdown against petrol pumps, illegal LPG agencies.

RAWALPINDI -- The Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Mohammad Ali Randhawa has directed the Assistant Commissioners of Rawalpindi district to launch crackdown against petrol pumps and illegal Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG) agencies and take action against the rules violators.

According to a spokesman of the district administration, AC cantt, Rawalpindi Zahid Khan conducted raids at various petrol pumps and LPG agencies during last week and checked the accuracy of measuring instruments and fire fighting arrangements.

The AC Cantt initiated a campaign against petrol pumps for selling less fuel to the public, in violation of the weight and measurements laws and for not properly managing fire safety arrangements.

He sealed two petrol pumps at Tippu Road and a LPG agency for violating the rules.
