DC Badin reviews preparedness to combat rain emergencies.

BADIN -- The Deputy Commissioner Badin Agha Shahnawaz Khan said on Monday that according to tjhe MET department the upcoming monsoon rains will start from the 3rd week of June so that relevant officers and representatives of NGOs must formulate a comprehensive strategy to avert any emergency during the monsoons.

He expressed these views while chairing a important meeting with officers concerned and representatives of NGOs to review arrangements made for upcoming monsoon rains in the district. He directed officials to ensure the availability of the required number of machinery and essential equipment to deal with emergencies in the district.

The DC also directed to coordinate with the concerned key stakeholders in order to finalise a line of action to handle the situation during the expected monsoon rains in the district.
