Days of govt numbered, insist PPP leaders.

KOHAT -- Pakistan Peoples Party provincial president Hamayun Khan and former governor and Senator Barrister Masud Kausar have insisted that days of the government are numbered as it has failed on every front.

They were speaking at a workers' convention of Kohat division held at the residence of Mr Kausar here on Tuesday.

The party's district and divisional presidents and secretary generals from Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Orakzai and Parachinar were also in attendance.

On the occasion, Masud Kausar said a huge caravan of workers would leave for Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, from Kohat division to observe the death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on Dec 27.

He said the PPP had rendered numerous sacrifices and did not bow before tyranny for the sake of democracy. He said the party had to lose a charismatic leader like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in the process.

Senator Masud Kausar said during last six years the PTI had failed to launch any mega project in Kohat.

MORTARS SEIZED: Darra Adamkhel subdivision police foiled a sabotage bid by seizing four long-range mortars from the mountains of Kohiwal on Tuesday, district police officer Mansoor Aman said.

He said the police had received information that mortars had been hid in the hillside of Kohiwal area of Tor Chappar. A team reached the site and dug out the mortars, he added.

The bomb disposal squad was called from Kohat which defused the mortars and a case was registered against unknown terrorists.
