Dawn Spelling Bee witnesses exciting quarter finals.

KARACHI -- The fifth day of the Dawn in Education Spelling Bee Karachi quarter finals saw great enthusiasm from parents bucking up their children participating in teams.

From the 9-11 age group, Convent of Jesus and Mary and Shah Wilayat Public School were leading.

An interesting fact to note was that one of the girls from the convent school, Sophia Kuli Khan is the sister of a previous Spelling Bee National Champion also.

From age group 15-17 group, Jaffar Public School scored 30 points which is the highest scorer and went into the semi-finals. It was the only school which took a clean sweep by spelling all the words correctly.

Five teams which secured 20 points are: BVS Parsi High School, Hamdard Public School, Happy Home School...
