Darren Sammy appointed new head coach of Peshawar Zalmi.

Rawalpindi -- One-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Peshawar Zalmi has decided to put extra responsibilities on Darren Sammy after appointing him as their new coach for next two years.

In a press conference in Rawalpindi, Mohammad Akram gave Sammy the charge as the new head of the team's coaching staff and also clarified that he will be available to play whenever the team needs him.

'Sammy is our new head coach-cum-player. He will be looking after the things as head coach from today onwards and this decision has been taken after a healthy discussion. Wahab Riaz will be our new captain,' Akram announced.
