THE residents of a posh highrise apartment complex in DHA Phase VIII are passing a precarious existence. The apartment complex's elevators are in a dismal condition and malfunction routinely.

There have been numerous incidents when elderly residents and children were trapped for hours in a stranded lift.

Despite the pleading by the residents for nearly a year, many of the lifts in the 12 apartment blocks have not been repaired.

Many a time when the lifts are not operating, the residents and domestic help are forced to climb the stairs to their flats. Mind you each of the highrise has 15 floors.
