CVE via Strategic Communication.

In Pakistan, some people can be easily influenced by exAtremist messages because of their vulnerability. So, comAbatting extremist mesAsages and spreading a message of peace and unity is the signifiAcant feature that goes with counter: extremAism efforts.Moreover, Western governments take counter: extremism based on the movement on the supposition that those who misAinterpret their activities and purposes are more likely to be inclined towards extremism. This hypothesis leads to weak audiences, vulnerable to extremAist messaging.Hence, extremists often emphasise communicaAtions with non: English speaking and illiterate audiences.

To counter this, national comAmunication strategies can be developed in close cooperaAtion with social media compaAnies and the private sector, taiAlored to local contexts and based on international human rights standards, to challenge the narAratives of violent extremism.

Further guidelines can be folAlowed to create successful outAcomes within strategic commuAnication; like the emerging field, provides a forum formultidisciAplinaryapproaches and diverse research traditions. The straAtegic communication concept deals with convincing others to think and act in ways comApatible with objectives, whethAer this means causing them to adopt a specific course of action or simply understanding better and accepting more. FurtherAmore, there are three lenses to study strategic communicaAtion.

The first lens is the manAagement strategy illustrates the numerous conceptual elements within the field that might proAvide conceptual resources for the study.Central to the idea of strategic communication is the idea of influence (the power or capacity to cause an effect in inAdirect or intangible ways'.OrAganisations (or individuals) who want to alter the behaviourof others have four tools at their disposal: physical force, patronAage, purchase, or persuasion. The latter involves the use of communication to promote the acceptance of ideas. In addition, thefirst one is to define the winAning objectives, and what sucAcess looks like. The second one is to identify assumptions thatAmake it possible to reach the obAjectives. Thirdly, one shallcreate a strategy that will lead to victoAry. Then, one shouldcreate a deAsign concept where the strateAgy turns into actionable tactics so that one can later implement the plan.
