Customs driver found dead near Ijtimagah.

KARACHI -- A 58-year-old man was found dead with visible marks of strangulation on Saturday night in the famous religious congregation regularly held in Manghopir, said police and hospital officials.

They added that the body of Fida Mohammed was recovered from back seat of an official car (GP-6465) at the gate-9 parking of Ijtimagah where three-day religious gathering of the Tableeghi Jamaat ended on Sunday that was attended by a large number of people.

A senior police officer said that the deceased was a driver of Customs and was posted in Gwadar, Balochistan.

He had two wives, one lives in Gwadar and the other lives in his native place in Mansehra in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

It appeared that he had come from Balochistan to attend the religious gathering where he was found dead.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to ascertain exact cause of death.
