COVID claims 8 more lives.

KARACHI -- As many as 18 more patients of coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 7,210 and 817 new cases emerged when 16,935 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

He added that 18 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 7,210 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate. Mr Shah said that 16,935 samples were tested which detected 817 cases that constituted 4.8 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 5,797,878 tests have been conducted against which 447,050 cases were diagnosed, of them 89.6 percent or 400,523 patients have recovered, including 496 overnight.
