Court orders police to continue efforts to locate 'missing' man.

HYDERABAD -- A division bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, has directed SHO of the Airport police station to continue his efforts for the recovery of a missing person and also register an FIR in this regard.

The bench, comprising Justice Abdul Maalik Gaddi and Justice Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui, said a copy of the FIR be also placed before the court on Dec 6.

The order was passed on a constitutional petition filed by Aliya Shaikh, wife of Syed Muzaffar Ali Jafri. She was represented by Advocate Shakeel Ahmed Zai.

She stated in her petition that on Oct 8, her husband left his residence in Latifabad, Unit No. 8, to meet his friend, Imran, in the Mahar Ali Housing Society. She said that at around 11am, Imran informed her that some personnel of the law-enforcement agencies had taken him [Muzaffar Jafri] away. According to the petitioner, Imran informed her that the occupants of a black Vigo were wearing masks to hide their faces. He further informed her that some of them were riding motorcycles and they verified his [Jafri's] identity before taking him away.
