Couple drowns in waterway.

KARACHI -- A couple drowned in a waterway along Northern Bypass on Thursday evening, according to rescue services.

An Edhi Foundation spokesperson said the couple, along with other family members, had gone to the spot known as Mai Garhi Nadi for a picnic. While bathing in the waterway, Salman Musharraf, 40, and his wife, Sawera Salman, 23, drowned.

Edhi divers rushed to the spot and fished out their bodies, which were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal proceedings.
