Couple, boy held for smuggling drugs, arms.

KOHAT -- A couple and a young boy were arrested on Thursday while smuggling drugs and weapons from Khyber and Dara Adamkhel to Waziristan and southern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

An anti-smuggling squad constituted by district police officer Mansoor Aman foiled the attempts.

Head of the squad, Inspector Islamuddin stopped a car on the Indus Highway, and upon search found 15 pistols, 1,150 cartridges, and 15 chargers being carried by Taj Mohammad belonging to Wazisitan. He admitted to carrying the weapons to Waziristan.

In another incident, the police stopped a passenger coach for checking, and found half a kilogramme of heroin, and 21 gram ice, which a couple identified as Mohammad Raheem and Khair-un-Nissa of Khyber district, were trying to smuggle.
