Country faces challenges in fields of law and order and economy: Ijaz Shah.

ISLAMABAD -- Interior Minister Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmed Shah on Monday said that the Police is the most suppressed department and vowed to address its problems on priority, media reported.

Talking to media at Islamabad Police Line, Ijaz Shah who recently assumed the charge of the Federal Interior Minister, said that the country faces challenges in the fields of law and order and the economy.

He, however, said that if a government have good intentions, no problem left unresolved (for long period).

Replying a question, the minister of interior said that under the 18 Constitutional Amendment, the law and order is responsibility of the provinces.

Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmed Shah, was appointed as minister of the interior recently amid a major reshuffle in federal cabinet.
