Constable martyred, drug peddler killed in encounter.

GUJAR KHAN -- A police constable was martyred on Monday when a gang of drug peddlers reportedly opened fire on a police patrol near Sandal village in the jurisdiction of Gujar Khan police station.

An alleged drug peddler was also killed during exchange of fire with the police team.

According to sources, a police party was on patrol in the areas of Sandal when a gang of drug peddlers reportedly opened fire on the police which led to the injury of constable Navid Asghar, who succumbed to injury in a local hospital.
