Conflict Prolonged.

It has been three months since Russia invaded Ukraine and the conflict shows no signs of subsiding. Both sides' actions indicate further exacerbation of the conflict-the European Union has accused Russia of destroying a major grain terminal in the southern port city of Mykolaiv-a move which will drive up food prices across the world. Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken of a need to take back territory, which reflects in the now separatist People's Republic of Donetsk's decision to sentence foreign nations to death and Russia's issuing of passports in the occupied regions. On the other end, Western countries plan to deliver more military assistance worth billions of dollars to Ukraine.

The impact that this crisis has had on the world, and the implications that will continue to hold in the future, cannot be understated. Just as the global economy was reeling from the pandemic, the war has driven the whole world into full-fledged economic turmoil.
