With the procurement of wheat during last season was on lower the side due to lesser production coupled with selling by farmers at prices higher than MSP in the open market consequent to the geo-political situation, the government has informed the parliament that wheat production this year may remain normal and there is little chance of it being affected by the rising temperature.
